The game of brännboll is an excellent way to get vigorous and moderate exercise in your daily life. Similar to baseball, brännboll works many muscle groups, such as the arms, thighs and lower legs. Along with that, this sport also develops hand-eye coordination, quick thinking and fast reaction skills. Joining a brännboll team does not only give you a healthy dose of exercise, but a chance to make friends which can also possibly affect your mental health in the long run. Catching, running, throwing and swinging a bat provides strength, as well as cardiovascular health benefits and helps burn tons of calories. It also works all the muscles of your arms when swinging the bat or throwing the ball, including the biceps, triceps and the muscles of the chest and shoulders. Brännboll engages your glutes, quadriceps, hamstrings and calf muscles when moving laterally, throwing and squatting down to catch a ball. Life-long participation in this sport provides for good physical and mental health, as you will be continuously working on body parts that begin to die down during old age and making friends during the process.
